Natasha and Caitlin.. you have both already read this cuz I posted it on the Puehse twins forum
anyways...
At 6 am, on Wednesday, September 6th, I was doing what EVERY girl is doing at 6 am on their summer break. Sleeping. Duh! I mean, who is the right mind actually gets up at SIX during SUMMER BREAK?? I was having the most wonderful dream. I was walking down this beautiful country road (dirt, not paved!) with Cole Sprouse. (Incase you’ve been living under a rock for the past 7 years, and don’t know who Cole Sprouse is, I’ll tell you. He is the cutest boyalive! ever!) We stopped walking and looked around us. On one side of the road, there was a HUGE apple tree, with those pretty flowers that the apple trees have, before the apples come. On the other side, there was this huge lake, a nice dark shade of blue. Cole took my hands and looked into my eyes. He leaned in to kiss me!! Just as our lips were about to touch though, I woke up. My bedroom light was on.
“Mom!” I whined loudly, as I got out of bed. “It’s way to EARLY for light!”
My mom walked into my room, smiling. “Not today.”
“What do you mean ‘not today’?”
“It’s the first day of school!”
I groaned. That was TODAY?! I could have sworn it didn’t start until NEXT week. I rolled my eyes and went over to my closet to pick out an outfit to wear. My younger sister, Becca, woke up.
“Wa’sgoinon?” she asked, obviously still half asleep.
“School,” I answered, as I pulled my tee-shirt over my head.
She shook her head and the pulled the covers up higher. “I’m not going!” she called from underneath the blankets.
Mom walked back into the room as I pulled my jeans on. “Come on Becca, you’ll like middle school,” she said to Becca. I laughed a little. Trying to wake Becca up in the mornings was like... well, I don’t know what to compare it to, but it sure is difficult!
Of course, Becca didn’t get out of bed. “I don’t like anything that requires me to get up before 10 am.”
Mom went over and pulled the covers off of her. “Do you want to be late on the first day?”
Becca shot mom an evil look. If looks could kill, Mom would have been dead! Or, at least severely wounded. Muttering evil phrases under her breath, Becca slowly got out of bed and started looking for an outfit.
I went into the kitchen for breakfast. Not a big breakfast though, because according to my schedule, I had lunch at 10:30! Who the heck actually wants LUNCH at 10:30 in the MORNING?! As I was finishing my orange, Becca walked in with her shirt on backwards.
“What’s for breakfast?” she mumbled, still not fully awake yet.
Mom handed her an apple and said “Here. Oh, and your shirt’s on wrong.”
Becca put her shirt on right and ate her apple. I brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and put my new shoes on. I was ready to go, but there was still half an hour until Mom drove me and Becca to school. I hopped on the computer and logged onto my favorite website, sprouse-fans.com. It’s a Fansite for Dylan and Cole Sprouse. I always look at pictures of Cole before I do anything. He’s just so hott, I can’t help myself.
Before I knew it, we (mom, Becca, and I) were in the car. Mom was driving us to school. As the school came into view, I became more and more nervous. Why was I nervous? Well, honestly, I don’t know. I guess everyone’s always nervous on the first day of school. (Ha-ha, the word nervous is starting to sound weird.) In a matter of seconds (well, it seemed like seconds), Becca and I were getting out of the car and walking into the school.
Usually, the front hall is crowded with kids, but today was different. It was totally empty! Were we late?! Had classes already started?! Finally, after what seemed like forever, a lady came out of the office. “You have to wait in the cafeteria. It’s a new rule,” she told us. We both nodded, and then the two of us went down the hall, to the cafeteria. As soon as we got there, Becca saw Shanna, one of her best friends, and went off with her. I was all alone. Well, not really. There were tons of other kids, but I didn’t know them very well, and the ones I did know were the ones I wasn’t friends with. ‘This is a sign,’ I thought miserably. ‘A sign that this is going to be the worst school year ever.’
Someone tapped my shoulder and I jumped (because I wasn’t expecting it!). I spun around quickly. It was Mel, my best friend. “Mel!” I cried happily.
Sora!” she exclaimed, just as happily. We hadn’t seen each other all summer because I had spent the summer in Virginia, at my dad’s house.
“What’s your schedule? Do we have any classes together?” I asked.
She pulled her schedule out, as I got mine out. We compared them.
“Darn!” Mel exclaimed unhappily. “We only have lunch together.”
I looked again. She was right.
“Ya know,” I said, “It’s only the first day, but I can already tell that this school year is gonna suck big time.”
Boy, was I wrong.
